Where I’d Like To Live

I created a fictional book cover in homage to my Dad’s collection of bonsai trees he had throughout his home and garden during my childhood. It is based on my own childhood love of tiny spaces, tree houses and fairy holes. I wanted to create a sense of childlike wonder, of a tiny world nestled in a bonsai tree.

To create contrast, I used deep rich brown, surrounded by more subtle shades of green, which camoflage the little homes and windows, making you peer inside to get a closer look.
