Decay of the Neagh
For the first semester of my MA in Illustration, I worked on exploring illustration as a way of practise based research. This project is the culmination of found stories, poems, folktales, and scientific research around Lough Neagh. The biggest lake in the UK & Ireland is dying due to pollution and climate change, and this project highlights how Irish issues cannot be viewed through a single lens. I used the traditional craft of weaving to combine narratives and ideas, as well as traditional and digital illustration techniques.
